Literacy and Development through Partnership

Most of the communities in which the WakaWakas were distributed did not have electricity or light before. The biggest challenge for the literacy classes were how to learn and study effectively when they only have torch lights or kerosene lights to use at night. Most of the time the participants in the literacy classes have little money and cannot buy kerosine or batteries, so there is no light at all. The WakaWakas help in the literacy classes and now enable studying after sunset.
