WakaWaka tests in refugee camp Kenya

All refugees were able to use the WakaWaka Light and half of them considered it ‘the greatest gift received in the camp’. For the majority the manuel was very clear, only 16% reported problems with the lamps. The lamp increased working and reading to six (!) hours and benefited pupils to a big extent. ‘The solar lamps were handy in the refugee camp in enabling beneficiaries light their tents. Also 95% would like more solar lamps distributed so that they are able to light their tents at night and get the benefit from the lighting’, states the FaIDA report. The WakaWaka team is thrilled with these test results and will deploy more WakaWaka Lights in refugee regions such as Dabaab.
